Facts about Eurasian Collared-Dove :-
- Easily seen anywhere in Dwarka. Abundant in population, but scare's from human elements.
- Eurasian Collared-Doves have plump bodies, small heads, and long tails.
- They are larger than the Turtle Dove, smaller than Wood Pigeon but similar in length to Rock pigeon.
- The bird's collar is a narrow black crescent around the nape of the neck.
- The bird perch on telephone poles, wires, and in large trees and give incessant three-syllable coos.
- Live in urban and suburban areas.
- The bird is not a migratory, but is strongly dispersive.
